The God of Fate

The universe is controlled by a being known as the God or Goddess of Fate. This being has the power to bend the universe at their will. There will always be a God of Fate, through the position may be passed down.

Arcs

An "arc" is referring to a chunk of time in which a story takes place.

The Apocalypse

Occurring after the Third Arc of Reality, sparking the Arc of Apocalypse. It is a nuclear radioactive blast that transformed the old earth into a place of nuclear fallout until the Blessed Messiah of the Tower of Ai brought upon its end.

The Dark Lord

The Dark Lord is a position created by The Goddess of Fate Cantatrice. After the apocalypse, the Nine Blessings of the Tower of Ai were forged into nine souls, each one becoming a Dark Lord. These individuals are accursed with the power of their blessing, unable to reincarnate while under the rule of Goddess of Fate Cantatrice.

Reincarnation & Souls

Reincarnation is the act of a soul becoming another being after death. A soul is the immaterial being inside of a physical body, and will be reincarnated as long as the God of Fate desires.

Parasitic Artifacts

A species of spirit created as "angels" underneath Goddess of Fate Cantatrice. They are conscious beings that can shapeshift between their artifact form and a humanoid form. They are bound to whoever's skin comes into contact with their artifact first, and will continue passing through masters until they meet their end. A master cannot be unbound unless through death. Parasitic Artifacts are immortal, and can only be killed through use of Godly power. They hold the ability to "save" and "load". "Saving" is the act of marking a moment in time, and "loading" is the act of returning to that moment at a later date. Parasitic Artifacts also hold mild prophetical power and the ability to instill delusions upon their master.

Ascension

The act of a soul becoming Godly. Ascension is granted by the God of Fate to a pre-existing soul.

The Goddess of Fate is cruel.

The birth of the universe as you know it. This is where our story begins.

A girl named Cantatrice was born with an array of physical deformities that made all who came in contact with her flee in horror. She met a blind boy named Oliver, who did not fear her because of his lack of sight. Enraged at this, the Goddess of Fate descended from heaven. She had made Cantatrice so deformed for her own entertainment, and demanded that the boy be disgusted with her, as everyone else was. She restored his sight so he could lay eyes upon the horrific girl, yet he merely handed her a white flower, silently reassuring her that his love has not waivered.
After the lovers perished, the Goddess of Fate stepped down from her role as the God of Fate, and, in one last act of cruelty to Cantatrice, bestowed her with the new title of Fate. Cantatrice then ascended her lover to godhood as well, enabling them to stay together for all eternity.
Until her lover descended to earth, longing for humanity once more in rejection of Cantatrice's adoration.
